As of 2010 the EU emission trading scheme is going into effect. This will affect the aviation industry in general, but Amsterdam Airlines as an airline in its growing phase in particular.

Last week Amsterdam Airlines and Tradewind signed a training agreement. The last week of November the first training will be given by Tradewind as part of an initial course for new cabin crew members.

Due to the current market outlook we are now gearing up to phase-in our third aircraft. Various (long term) contracts are underway. In the beginning of 2010 the PH-AAX will also have her C-check. These items combined are enough reasons to start phasing-in our third aircraft.

Recently Amsterdam Airlines had the honor to introduce itself to the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Mrs. van der Hoeven. At the Minister's office in The Hague our Managing Director Jaap Horsten and shareholder Louis van Steijn discussed various economical subjects At this successful meeting we pleasantly surprised the Minister by handing over our first Amsterdam Airlines A320 model airplane. 'I'll be sure to always keep it on a top shelf!' was her reaction.

We are proud to present our new logo. At the top of the site you can see our new full logo: a new font and a restyled logo.
Our new logo consists of two stylized A's. Many things can be seen in this logo which represent our company: two A's going all around the globe, slim airfoils capable of flying safely and economically, A's going up and forward... al just a few things typifying Amsterdam Airlines and which are reflected in the logo.
The double A logo is now as follows:
