PH-AAX in C-check at Turkish Technics

After a good preparation of the Amsterdam Airlines maintenance team, the PH-AAX left in the beginning of January to Istanbul. There it currently undergoes its so called C-check.
The so called C-check is a big maintenance inspection/overhaul of the aircraft. A C-check has to be performed every so-many hours. For the PH-AAX, our first aircraft, the C-check became due in January of 2010.

As the C-check is a big maintenance inspection, the Amsterdam Airlines maintenance department needed plenty time to fully prepare for the check. The team did a great job and prepared all the required items on time. All the preparations (e.g. paperwork) were send to Turkish Technics, the selected party to perform the action check.

Turkish Technics was choosen as they have a very high quality of service and are very experienced in performing these kinds of checks. Main reason is that they do these checks on their own fleet of 22 Airbus A320 as well (as part of their own fleet of in total 132 aircraft!).

The PH-AAX was delivered to the Turkish Technics, and the C-check is now on-going as planned. Part of the Amsterdam Airlines maintenace team is on site and is constantly overviewing this operation.
