Amsterdam Airlines
Amsterdam Airlines is a new airline established in 2007. It started operating in the summer of 2008 with one Airbus A320 aircraft. The second A320 entered into service in June 2009. The company is in the airline business to satisfy the air transport requirements of her partners and respond to their demands for safety, reliability, quality, value and security in all its activities.

The company's head office is located at Amsterdam Airport, 'Het Poortgebouw' Beech Avenue 54-80, 1119 PW Schiphol Rijk, The Netherlands.
The company flies from various countries to various places such as Mediteranian holiday destinations, the Middle East, the Far East and will fly from anywhere in the world where its business is conducted. European flights took holiday passengers to the Azores, the Canary Islands, Greek Islands, Ireland and the Iberic Penninsula. But our aircraft can also be seen in Scandinavia, Turkey and Middle East countries.

Flight crew pre-requisites and pay (vacancies for Captains only)
Flight Crew Members applying for this challenging job will find satisfaction in working in Amsterdam Airlines as it flies with modern electronic flight bag equipped Airbus A320 aircraft to a variety of destinations around the globe.
We have a profit sharing scheme in place. A pension fund and a collective medical insurance.

Amsterdam Airlines is searching:
Well educated Captains A320 and dedicated colleagues who are willing to work hard and contribute to the success of a young and ambitious airline. To qualify for the position you must posses a valid JAA ATPL with type rating on Airbus 320 type aircraft and hold a valid JAA medical certificate class I.

Prerequisites
Language requirement:
Applicants must be fluent in English. Mastering the Dutch language is an advantage for your application. As Amsterdam Airlines extends its business also to customers in the Middle East and North Africa in addition to the language requirement Arabic speaking applicants are welcome.

Additional requirement:
Computer literacy is a prime requirement as the company relies solely on the efficient use of transmission of electronic messages and data.

Main entry requirements

Captains
(a) Minimum age 25 years
(b) Minimum 5000 hours total time, of which 3000 hours on transport category aircraft and 500 on type
(c) JAA ATPL with A320 Type Rating
(d) JAA Medical Certificate Class I

Senior First Officers
(a) Minimum age 21 years
(b) Minimum 3000 hours total time, of which 2000 hours on transport category aircraft and 500 hours on type
(c) JAA ATPL with A320 Type Rating
(d) JAA Medical Certificate Class I

Junior First Officers
(a) Minimum age 18 years
(b) Frozen JAA ATPL
(c) JAA CPL/IR with A320 Type Rating
(d) MCC course completed
(e) JAA Medical Certificate Class I

Note: The Junior First Officer after qualifying for the minimum requirements as Senior First Officer and holding a JAA ATPL license with A320 Type rating will automatically be promoted to Senior First Officer.

Duration of employment

A Flight Crew Member will be employed the first year after conversion training to serve for a maximum of 12 months. If the Flight Crew Member agrees and has performed to the satisfaction of the company, the employment may be continued for another period of maximum 12 months.

Salary
Amsterdam Airlines pays an adequate base salary and in addition uses variable elements of compensation to become an attractive employer for those who are prepared to work hard.
On the 1st of January of every year, fixed salary, per diem pay, separation allowance and productivity allowance will be corrected in accordance with the Consumer Price Index, valid for the past year, and as published by Statistics Netherlands (Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek).

Captain
The Fixed salary is € 80.269,80  per annum or € 6,174,60 per 28 calendar days (13 Salary Periods per year).
Holiday pay is € 6,421,58 per annum or 8% of yearly salary (13 Salary Periods).
Production Pay is € 102,91 per hour exceeding 55 block hours per Salary Period.
Separation allowance is € 4,29 per hour starting after being 240 hours away from the home base.

Senior First Officer
The Fixed salary is € 40.134,90 per annum or € 3,087,30 per 28 calendar days (13 Salary Periods per year)
Holiday pay is € 3,210,79 per annum or 8% of yearly salary (13 Salary Periods)
Production Pay is € 51,46 per hour exceeding 55 block hours per Salary Period
Separation allowance is € 2,15 per hour starting after being 240 hours away from the home base.

Junior First Officer
The Fixed salary is € 32.107,92 per annum or € 2.469,84 per 28 calendar days (13 Salary Periods per year)
Holiday pay is € 2.568,63 per annum or 8% of yearly salary (13 Salary Periods)
Production Pay is € 41,16 per hour exceeding 55 block hours Salary Period
Separation allowance is € 1,72 per hour starting after being 240 hours away from the home base.

Per Diem allowance
Per Diem allowance is per hour and will be paid when the Flight Crew Member does not return to the home base in the same duty period. The Per Diem allowance comes into effect at the departure and ends when the crew member has returned to the home base.
Profit Sharing
All employees are entitled to the Company Profit Sharing scheme.

Training
When joining the Company a Flight Crew Member is not paid during training. He will be paid a compensation of 50% of the fixed salary per 28 days or part thereof in arrears from the start of the line training until the date of completion of Line Flying Under Supervision and passing the final line check.

Holiday entitlement
The holiday entitlement is 20 working days per full year of employment. The number of paid leave days is pro rata if the employee: is not employed for a full year; and/or is employed on a part time basis. A new employee will normally not be eligible to take any leave during the first 4 months of service.

Pension Fund
Amsterdam Airlines has developed a pension scheme which all personnel may join.
Medical Insurance
Amsterdam Airlines has arranged for a Medical Scheme (Collectieve Zorgverzekering). Employees may enter this collective insurance or make their own arrangements.

Pre-requisites for the job as Cabin Crew Member in Amsterdam Airlines

Language requirements:

Cabin Crew Member (CCM)
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • No previous experience as a CCM is required (but having it is of course a preference).
Duration of employment
  • A CCM will be employed to serve for a maximum of 6 months. If the CCM agrees and has performed to the satisfaction of the company, the employment may be continued for another period of maximum 6 months.
  • A SCCM will be employed for a maximum of 12 months with extension for another 12 months.
Senior Cabin Crew Member (SCCM)
Minimum age is 21 years and at least 2 years recent experience as a cabin crew member having an aptitude to manage a crew.

Salary
Amsterdam Airlines pays an adequate base salary and in addition uses variable elements of compensation to become an attractive employer for those who are prepared to work hard.

Junior Cabin Crew Member or a CCM entering without at least 12 months recent airline experience:
The Fixed salary is € 1.299,40 per 28 calendar days (13 Salary Periods per year) or € 16.892,20 per annum.
Holiday pay is 8% of yearly salary (13 Salary Periods) or € 1.351,80.
Production Pay is € 20,58 per hour exceeding 55 block hours Salary Period
Separation allowance is € 0,85 per hour starting after being 240 hours away from the home base.

Cabin Crew Member (CCM) entering with 12 months or more recent airline experience:
The Fixed salary is € 1.543,65 per 28 calendar days (13 Salary Periods per year) or €20.067,45 per annum.
Holiday pay is 8% of yearly salary (13 Salary Periods) or € 1.605,40.
Production Pay is € 25,70 per hour exceeding 55 block hours per Salary Period
Separation allowance is € 1,07 per hour starting after being 240 hours away from the home base.

Senior Cabin Crew Member (SCCM)
The Fixed salary is € 2,469,84 per 28 calendar days (13 Salary Periods per year) or € 32.107,92 per annum.
Holiday pay is 8% of yearly salary (13 Salary Periods) or €2.568,63.
Production Pay is € 41,16 per hour exceeding 55 block hours per Salary Period.
Separation allowance is € 1,72 per hour starting after being 240 hours away from the home base.

Per Diem allowance
Per Diem allowance is per hour and will be paid when the Flight Crew Member does not return to the home base in the same duty period. The Per Diem allowance comes into effect at the departure and ends when the crew member has returned to the home base.
